fast food, slow people

everyone loves fast food even if its not McDonald its something else. there are so many fast food places out there adjusting to the "health" conscious world now by putting calorie counts and salads on their menus. at the end of the day its not the food that makes you have bad health its the preservatives they put into it to make it have longer shelf life.it may be fast food now but years and years of it can really slow a person down inside and out. when you eat this food on a daily basis you have a higher risk of all types of health complications. alot of things are linked to your diet. eating bad can make you obese cause diabetes, high blood pressure and these can all be serious over a long period of time.
fast food effects a lot of people but no one more than children. the fact that they are still developing and their bodies are not getting the right nutrients from this food can take a toll over time. this can cause cardiovascular disease which is the number one cause of death globally. this is from  build up of plaque and fat in your arteries so you really have to watch what you let your kids eat if you want them to live a long and healthy life. obesity is another big issue with this generations youth because most parents are always on the move trying to provide housing, clothes so they don't have time to cook everyday. so what else to turn to other than fast food they think. watch this video and think twice about watching what you eat.

this is one of many health risk being constantly fueled by the fast food industry. the main thing people can do is to start by example, bring a fruit basket in once a week to your office. suggest that at meeting instead of donuts you have something less fatty. things wont change and people wont be educated on these things unless one person tells another and puts it into effect. its one thing to know something but another to make it useful to society. people will always eat fast food that's a fact but just watching how much you eat or limiting yourself can cause a significant raise in your overall health.

I agree this is one of the most dangerous thins happening, especially in our city being overweight is not good for anyone. we need to change our eating habits , but it is hard to do especially since most of us are constantly on the move and to busy for a real meal. there are some healthy places to eat out but lets face it the majority cant afford to eat at these places on a regular basis. So the fruit basket is a good idea but for starters something else needs to be eaten along with it, if your not use to eating just fruit for lunch or breakfast that is a hard transition. I work out as much as i can in between my classes and I'm 6'5 233 that is border line over weight. So to prevent heart disease we need to stop being lazy and go for a run or walk or what ever you need to do just to stay alive. I know thats easier said then done and some will complain but ask yourself this is your life worth it?

  2. I agree with this are city is very obese because of all these fast food restaraunts everywhere. Everyone eats at Mcdonalds and even young children can spot a Mcdonalds. My friend has a 3 year old and she had to break him out of the habit of eating Mcdonalds basically everyday. Her 3 year old would tell her she's hungry and say he wants a Mcdonalds cheeseburger. This should not be like this a child should be asking for more healthier foods and eating better.

  3. I agree with both of you on this. We definitely need to put more thought and effort into what we are eating and feeding our families. Leading by example is the best way for this to happen, especially for children. When they see their parents eating healthy, they will do the same. And when the parents stop constantly buying junk food for their children, well then, maybe their snacks will end up being an apple or grapes rather than a basket of french fries. I also could not agree more regarding the importance of exercise, although I would be lying if I said I did much in the ways of working out myself. I guess this just shows that we all have things in our lives that we can work on or change.

  4. I personally think fast food are for lazy people who don't cook. Fast food is bad for our health because of all the carbohydrates. I think people need to eat real meal than fast food. Fast food is NOT an option. It could effect us when we grow old. Also, eating fast food could cause obesity. Which most people in America already are...by eating too much fast food.

  5. When people eat fast food, they don't think about the negative effects but the test they are enjoying when they are eating fast foot. Due to people's busy schedule, many people don't have time to cook and fast food is cheaper than many other foods in the United States. Fast food is the cause of the obesity in the United States than any other things.

  6. I agree with this, but it's not only fast food that cause this negative effect to our body but also people not getting enough exercise. Fast food is convient and easy to get, but I agree peolple need to start coming up with idea's to stop eating fast food frequently. Only if people realize the negative effects of eating fast food and start changing their diets can this problem be solve.

  7. This reminded me of an article I read about this topic. It had statistical information and it stated that most people that eat fast food are conscious of the harm it can and will cause if one does not stop eating it. Some people heard this information and stopped eating fast food, however, there are many who simply do not care. Many do not have time to cook and cannot help themselves.

    I actually know people that stopped eating fast food completely. The difference was incredible. They lost weight and their doctor told them they were gradually getting healthier. There are people that know this information and choose to stop eating fast food. I think if more was done to advertise these risks more people will stop eating fast food. However, there are powerful people that are not letting it happen because they make their money through the fast food chains.

  8. Fast food isn't the only thing that contributes to obesity. It's how people eat in general and how much exercise they get. I understand many people are on the go and don't have time to make a meal for themselves, but they can always make a quick healthy meal the day before. There are even healthy fast food alternatives! And I do not mean McDonald's salads either. I've seen places like Maoz (Vegetarian), Burgers.org (Organic), Healthy Bites To-Go in some areas that all serve quick and healthy food that cost as much as meals from your regular fast food restaurants. It's all about the healthy choices people make and the commitment to take care of themselves.
